Rotation schedules for gymnastics gyms

Build every class’s rotations, see equipment and coach clashes while you plan, and put the day on each coach’s phone and the gym TV.

Free during early access.

A sample Monday in Rotation Master: four classes, eighteen rotations, two clashes to review. Tumbling Level 2’s Vault rotation and Beginner Girls’ Rec Floor rotation are each flagged.
Live View on a coach’s phone at 5:52 PM: Warmup on Rec Floor D with Team Level 3, eight minutes left, then Condition/Core.
The sample schedule: a Monday, with two clashes flagged.

A Monday afternoon with Rotation Master

The pictures are the app itself, on a sample schedule with made-up names.

  1. Plan the day. Clashes show up as you build it.

Open a class and set each rotation’s time, coaches and equipment. If two groups land on the same vault, or a coach is in two places at once, it’s flagged right there. If the sharing is on purpose, mark it as agreed.

Tumbling Level 2 open for editing. Its Vault rotation, 4:45 to 5:00, is selected, and the conflicts column says Team Level 4 is on the vault for the same fifteen minutes, with a button to mark the sharing as agreed.
  2. Dana calls in sick. Her classes go to coaches who are free.

Mark a coach out for the day, or for a run of days. Each of their classes goes to a coach who is free then, or is merged, cancelled or left uncovered, and the board, the printouts and the TV all show it. Next week’s schedule is untouched.

Mark a coach out: Dana, out on Monday, note “Sick”. Tumbling Level 2 goes to Rosa and Team Level 3 to Marcus.
  3. Now

Every coach knows where to be.

Live View on each coach’s phone shows what they’re on now and what’s next. The gym TV shows every group’s rotation and how long until they move. Prefer paper? Print the day for the wall, or a sheet for each coach.

The gym TV at 5:52 PM: Team Level 4 with Omar on Pommels, 38 minutes to go; Team Level 3 with Dana on Warmup and Beginner Girls with Rosa on Quad Bars, each moving in 8 minutes.

One place for the whole schedule

Most gyms keep the afternoon in a spreadsheet, a typed sheet on the wall and notes on paper, and find the clashes when the coaches do. Rotation Master keeps it in one schedule, and checks it while you build it.

Bring your classes over from any platform

Export your classes and staff from the system you use now and drop the files in. Sort the classes into categories, match each instructor to a coach, and say who takes which day where a class has two coaches. Nothing is added until you click Import.

A Jackrabbit export goes straight in. From anything else, send us the files and we’ll bring your classes across for you.

The class import on its Categories step: sixteen classes from a Jackrabbit file, and tiles to pick a category from, such as Women DP, Xcel and Recreational classes.

What coaches using it say

I manage men’s team gymnastics, and I’ve been using it for a month. It’s been such an ease to manipulate schedules and rotations, as well as creating new classes.

Ryan P.Manager, Woodinville, WA

We are very happy our gym adopted Rotation Master. The printouts are less cluttered, and we can check our schedule on our tablets and propose changes directly.
